The Counselors

Conrad Mershon, Ph.D. is married with two children and six grandchildren. He is a licensed Christian Counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association, The Georgia Board of Examiners for Christian Counselors and Therapists, The Georgia Christian Counselors Association, The American Association of Christian Counselors and The National Board of Addictive Examiners.

Dr. Mershon is the counseling pastor with Christian Renewal Church of St. Simons Island, Georgia, chaplain of the Brunswick police department, and a past director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Coastal Georgia. His secular background is in the airline industry as a licensed airline transport pilot.

He received his master's degree from the Evangelical Theological Seminary, and his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Cornerstone University. He is an ordained minister in pastoral counseling since 1980.

Thomas P. Dent, M.A., L.C.P.Cis married with two children. He is a licensed Christian counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association and the Georgia Christian Counselors Association.

He has been active in many Christian organizations in the area including the St. Simons United Methodist Church, the Gathering Place youth ministry and Coastal Walk to Emmaus (past director). He completed his master's degree in Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University.

His secular career began with a degree in management from the University of Connecticut. He has been a successful businessman on St. Simons Island, where he owns Thos. P. Dent Clothier.
